Local senior bouldering competitions are a pathway for athletes in the senior category to qualify for the Senior Boulder National Championships. Therefore, local events may be restricted to athletes in the senior category (born in 2009 or before for the 2025-2026 season); however, local events may also be a combined qualifying event (including senior athletes and all ages) or the hosting gym may offer an all ages event before or after the qualifier. Please contact the host gym if you are uncertain regarding registration for any of these events.

Local qualifier events provide a chance to earn points towards an athlete's provincial ranking. An athlete's best 2 scores will count towards their overall provincial ranking. The highest ranking athletes in both Men's and Women's category will be eligible to represent Nova Scotia at Senior Bouldering Nationals.
