Hello Climbing Community,

I hope this message finds you well...

Revised September 2025

Please be aware that due to the extreme wildfire risk, the province of Nova Scotia implemented a stay out of the woods ban on August 5, 2025.  This ban has now been lifted, including for the greater Halifax area. This means that access is now available for all outdoor climbing areas. However, in the future, new restrictions may be implemented and should always be taken under consideration when engaging any outdoor climbing activities. Please consult the News Nova Scotia website or other government sources for current advisories and maps noting if any restrictions are in place.

July 2025
Climb Nova Scotia has partnered with the Nature Conservancy of Canada to ensure continued access to "The Spot", a popular climbing area in Musquodobit Harbour.
